Our Lecturers

Learn directly from the inventors of the Othmer-method. Susan and Siegfried Othmer have been working with neurofeedback since 30 years and are constantly developing the method further. Our professional instructors have been trained by Sue and Siegfried at EEG Info and have many years of experience in Neurofeedback.



Dr. Siegfried Othmer, BCIAC

Chief Scientist, EEG Institute
Siegfried Othmer continues to be involved in the development of new clinical modalities to promote self-regulation, as well as to evolve a framework for the understanding of our methods. He acts as the EEG Info link to the scientific world and coordinates studies in the field of neurofeedback. He also labors to promote the field in general, and to enhance professional training in Neurofeedback. He teaches in English.

Susan Othmer, BCIAC

Clinical Director, EEG Institute
Susan Othmer is a leader in the clinical application of Neurofeedback with 30 years of clinical experience. She has introduced almost 5000 professionals to the field of Neurofeedback and continues her clinical work and development of new assessment and training approaches as Clinical Director of the EEG Institute in California. She teaches in English.



Priv. doz. Dr. rer. nat. Meike Wiedemann

Chief Scientist, EEG Info Europe
Meike Wiedemann is a neurobiologist and works as an associate professor for biofeedback and neurofeedback at the University Hohenheim / Germany. In research she mainly deals with the development of pre-clinical screening models and the effect of micro gravitation on the central nervous system. Since 2002 she runs a private practice for biofeedback and hypnosis, with an emphasis on neurofeedback, in Stuttgart. Since early 2011 she is employed as chief scientist at EEG Info Europe. Here, she is responsible for coordinating studies in the field of neurofeedback and for participating in the further development of the Othmer-Method. Meike Wiedemann teaches courses in German and English.



Philippe Gauffriau

Occupational therapist
Philippe Gauffriau is an occupational therapist with more than 10 years of experience, mainly in the fields of pediatrics and neurology. He is also a qualified AD(H)D therapist. He has been working with neurofeedback according to the Othmer method. Philippe Gauffriau teaches courses in German and French.



Liam Clarke

Liam Clarke has been involved in the field of Neurofeedback for more than 15 years. Liam has previously studied Engineering in the late 80's before going on to study Psychotherapy and Clinical Hypnosis in Kings College London. In the mid 90’s Liam began studying and practising Neurofeedback with some of the most talented and respected names in the field of Neurofeedback including Sue & Siegfried Othmer at the EEG Institute in Los Angeles. Liam has a strong focus on promoting research in the field as well as providing professional training in Clinical Neurofeedback. Liam Clarke teaches courses in English. He teaches in English.



Dr. Ing. Bernhard Wandernoth

CEO EEG Info Europe
Bernhard Wandernoth is an electrical engineer and is specialized in information technology and signal processing. Since 1989 he has participated in high-technology programs in the fields of ultra-fast information exchange between satellites. Meanwhile he has an own company. Since 2004 he is head of the development of Neurofeedback systems, exclusively for EEG Info, in close cooperation with Susan and Siegfried Othmer. “There is no big diefference, if you deal with the weak signals of a faraway satellite or with the weak signals we measure as an EEG from the cortex”.
He teaches the technical part in English and German.



Renate Kleinsmiede lic. phil.

Fachpsychologin für Psychotherapie FSP
Renate Kleinsmiede hat an der Universität Fribourg klinische und allgemeine Psychologie studiert und eine Zusatzausbildung als Heilpädagogin. Sie ist verheiratet, hat zwei erwachsene Kinder und betreibt in Fribourg/Schweiz eine erfolgreiche Psychotherapie- und Neurofeedbackpraxis mit der sie sich auf die Arbeit mit autistischen Kindern spezialisiert hat. Renate Kleinsmiede lehrt Kurse in französisch.



Dr. Henning Alberts

Arzt für Neurologie und Psychiatrie
Seit 1978 in eigener Praxis in Stuttgart niedergelassen. Seit 1978 Schwerpunkt Hypnotherapie in der Praxis, seit 1983 Verknüpfung und Integration der klassischen Hypnotherapie mit dem Erickson'schen Ansatz und den Techniken des NLP mit Fokus auf therapeutische Interventionen (NLP-Ausbildung bei Thies Stahl, Hamburg von 1983-1986), 1987 Mitbegründer des Instituts „Synapse“, Stuttgart (laufende Ausbildungsgruppen in Hypnose und NLP und Hypnose bis 1997).
